Since it was President’s Day and my daughter’s school was closed, I worked from home. Working from home is really hard for me sometimes because I don’t have to pre-portion my food like I do when I take it to work. So, even though I might be eating healthy, it might be a lot MORE of that food than what I would take to the office. I bought some 6 oz. glass containers with lids to bake and store my morning oatmeal (I make a large batch over the weekend and then keep it in the fridge for when I want to eat it). I only ate ONE this morning (YAY) but I was still hungry early. I had some ripe avocados, so I decided to make that clean guacamole recipe from a while ago – VERY GOOD! Made crispy barbecue tofu for lunch – my daughter absolutely LOVES it because “it tasted just like chicken”. GO MOMMY! I still felt like I ate a lot, and Tyrone was on the fritz today, so I didn’t get my normal workout in. I still ran for 30 minutes in my living room, which is HELLA awkward (running in place is never not awkward). All in all, a decent – but not awesome – work-at-home eating day.
Practice was good. It was our last home team scrimmage night prior to Wednesday’s draft. The pressure is definitely on but I think I did well. The first hour was scrimmage time for the team I was assigned to for the night; the second hour was team practice time with the same team. I learned a lot about pack strategy, which is always awesome, and I received a lot of good feedback from the team.
I still don’t know how the draft will go on Wednesday. I’m pretty nervous… I mean, I think I’ve shown all of the teams that I would be a great asset to them (get it? asset?) but it’s out of my hands now. I don’t have any team preferences. All of the teams are awesome and I would be honored to play for any of them. For now, I wait to see what happens Wednesday night. Hopefully, Day 52 will be AWESOME for my TBT and my derby goals. Will definitely keep you posted.

Try adding a little cumin to that guac recipe – it’ll blow your mind! Gives it a great earthy kick.
I was watching you during practice last night as I was helping to bench coach for Scare Force, and you looked AWESOME. It really seemed like you clicked well with the Bombshells and did a good job of fitting into their team style, which was really exciting. You’ve grown so much as a skater, and people have absolutely taken notice. I have a good feeling about tomorrow for you!
Cumin…. I have to try that!!!!
Awwwww, Comma… you’re making me blush!!! I am SO excited for this darn draft! 🙂 I have a feeling Scare Force has their eyes set on you, lady! You have come a long way in such a short time. Good luck tonight!
